For over two hundred years, the western world has had it’s own IChing, and that is a deck of Lenormand cards…

About Lenormand

What is a deck of Lenormand? A Lenormand deck consists of 36 cards which are removed from a modern playing card deck of 52; these are then printed into smaller decks, such that all thirty six cards can be laid out at once onto a table. These cards include: the numbers six through ten, (6-10,) as well as the Jack, the Queen, the King and the Ace from each of the four suits. Each of these cards has long been emblazoned with an emblem that holds a deep essential meaning whose interior is pure and immutable, but that essence can be, and is, affected by it’s surrounding cards. These decks were once ubiquitous in coffee houses all over France, Germany and Holland long before the 18th century celebrity psychic Marie LeNormand, (for whom they were later named) was even born. (Ms. LeNormand was an 18th French bookseller, seer and cartomancer who read, correctly, for aristocracy and politicians in high and toney salons across Europe.) Whether or not she made use of the “coffee cards” of her era has never been established. However, her fame and notoriety caused this long known oracle system to be printed bearing her name immediately after she died. Lenormand is ubiquitous even now, and is still more commonly used, and far more popular, than Tarot in Europe, the Caribbean and Brazil.

That these cards are called Lenormand doesn’t matter. What matters is that the images work with each other to form a woven meaning that only occurs when the client tells me to stop shuffling. and start laying out the cards. The deck is a fountain of symbols that align in ways that is always amazing. Whereas Tarot can teach us about what our deep, psychological drives are doing to and for us, Lenormand is the practical deck that has to do with actual happenings and occurrences we will encounter in the waking world. Lenormand gives a glimpse of what is “coming to be”.

Yes, Lenormand can be scary with it’s accuracy. Be prepared. This is a reading like no other. To put it another way:

In the right hands, Lenormand is the single most predictive deck on the planet.

Do you need insight on how that merger at work is going to play out? Should you stay or jump ship? Lenormand readings can tell you! What about the home you’re interested in buying…is it the one? Again, no matter what practical advice you seek, Lenormand gives advice people bank on.

A Grande Tableau reading will tell you all you want to know, including angles you might not have considered. The Grande Tableau is my absolute favorite card system reading because it truly delivers the broadest range of instantly usable insights to the tangible world, the actual here and now. It’s very exciting!

Like Tarot, Lenormand readings are booked by the hour, except the Grande Tableau session, which lasts two hours.
